Verdict

Nellie Moon beat subsequent winner Dreams Unwind in July but both are upped in class while the latter’s stablemate Basilicata was still well beaten when second at Hamilton. Horsefly may do better at this lower level and is preferred to Squelch but there looked no obvious excuse for Sea Sylph’s poor effort at Sandown on her handicap bow. SAMARA STAR (NAP) was no match for the odds-on winner attempting to defy a penalty at Wolverhampton but she made a winning debut at the same track before that and gets the vote handicapping for the first time.
