Verdict

Both THE DETAINEE and Hallingham finished runner-up in their respective divisions of a handicap at Lingfield last month. The latter was having his first start for a new yard and should go close again but the former is less exposed and Jeremy Gask’s charge may just edge this. Petrify landed a double at Chepstow off lower marks last year while The Quarterjack continues to slide down the weights and Moon Arrow has been hurdling since placing at Wolverhampton in December.
