Verdict

Victor Dartnall has his string in good order and can take this with ROGANSTOWN, while My Moment and Son Of Flicka are respected. The selection makes his hurdles debut after a Uttoxeter bumper run in October. The trainer is not one to waste time in bumpers if he thinks his runners have some ability and so popping him straight over hurdles will hopefully be significant. Pedigree suggests that the ground will be fine for him and he will be well prepared so we'll side with him. My Moment stayed on to win a maiden hurdle at Aintree last time and carries a penalty as a result. He will need to improve a bit to carry the extra weight to victory but that is certainly not impossible. Son Of Flicka has never been out of the first two in five starts and has won on soft ground, so he clearly has to be short list material, but it is worrying that he usually finds one too good. Stablemate Fiendish Flame is an interesting recruit but has the look of the second string, while Walk Tall comes from a yard going well and should appreciate the drop back in trip after failing to get home last time. If the ground suits then he can show improved form but we will take Roganstown to score.
