Cornborough has had just the two starts over hurdles, winning at Ayr in October. He ran very well on the Flat at Haydock three weeks ago so is an obvious contender here, though this is the most competitive race on the card. Mighty Missile won here in July last year and should give a good account, despite a lay-off. Newton Geronimo arrives off the back of an unexpected victory at Taunton and a case can also be made for Tidal Way, who came up against a well-handicapped rival at Warwick. BEATU was successful at Haydock in March and only weakened on the run-in when third here subsequently. He is still improving and can defy a further 2lb rise in the weights today.
