Verdict

The pick of those with experience may be Newport Rose, who was fourth on her debut at Huntingdon in March. Milaneen filled the same spot behind Parsnip Pete at Ludlow and is open to improvement while Irene Kennet may be improving with experience. But a couple of newcomers catch the eye here with the JP McManus-owned CROSS THE FLAGS, a half-sister to the stable's Welsh National winner Synchronised, preferred to the equally well-bred Western Approaches.
