Verdict

Uppingham stepped up on his debut effort when second at Market Rasen and is probably capable of winning a race like this. But DESOTO COUNTY showed a fine turn of foot to score at Haydock on his first start under Rules and can defy his penalty. Stellar Notion and River Clare are other ex-pointers with a future while Nicky Henderson gives the filly Moel Famau a first start. She's a half-sister to winning jumpers Fabrika and Chasing Aces and could turn out to be useful.
