This is an above-average maiden as it sees useful novice chaser Late Romantic trying to transfer recent ability to hurdles. Shaman Du Berlais keeps threatening to win a race while Carrick Roads was only beaten a nose at Fontwell in January, though has an extra half-mile to cover here. Equus Flight and Whispering Affair have become expensive to follow and the former lacks a recent run.
