In depth

Verdict

A couple of these make their handicap debuts with JUNGLE JACK (NAP) looking to maintain his unbeaten record. Donald McCain’s charge defied a double penalty over a shorter trip here last month and this extra distance should not be a problem having won a point-to-point in the past. Dual novice winner Harbour Lake looked beaten when brought down in Listed company at Huntingdon but should fare better at this level and is preferred to the selection’s stablemate Goobinator, an unplaced favourite at Newcastle on Friday. The Grey Falco won at Haydock in between his more usual modest efforts but Ulverston makes more appeal over today’s trip.
