Verdict

Although he is a previous winner and fit from the Flat, top weight and soft ground has to be of concern for those siding with Fujin Dancer and we will take him on with SIMONE MARTINI. The presence of Sam Twiston-Davies on board is a positive for the Milton Harris-trained gelding, who relishes deep ground and this drop back in trip might see him fare better than last time out, while his feather weight is also a plus. Jeanry is raised 4lb for winning over 2m 4f at Worcester and does act with cut, so has to be taken seriously, while Monsieur looks likely to get competitive. Of the remainder Royal Chatelier is really well-related and would be very interesting if backed on his first run since leaving Charlie Longsdon for Michael Blake.
