This looks the weaker of the two divisions of the novice hurdle and, unless It Would Appear improves for his recent outing at Fontwell, this may go the way of Itsdowntoben who is preferred to Mister Chatterbox. The selection represents the in-form yard of Ginger McCain and has shown plenty of promise in bumpers so, provided that he jumps his hurdles fluently, the son of Karinga Bay may well be good enough to make a winning debut over timber. The Richard Phillips-trained Another Chat may be better than he has shown so far and of more interest may be Mister Chatterbox. The Phillip Hobbs-trained gelding disappointed on is hurdling debut last month but the stable's horses were out form then so he may be capable of better than he showed that day. Ginger McCain's horses are running well at present though and he may get another winner here with Itsdowntoben.
