Verdict

ONLY THE BOLD was fitted with a combination of headgear on his debut for David Pipe and returned an easy winner over course and distance. Fergus Gillard could afford to ease him him down in the closing stages and he can defy a hike in the weights. Golden Sovereign returns from a lengthy absence having won at Wincanton when last in action but Mumbo Jumbo has placed in both recent starts over fences and makes more appeal. Fuji Flight will be sharper for last month’s outing here and can go well.
