Very little needs to be said about Henrietta Knight's record with former Irish pointers, so it may be simple enough to propose that there is plenty more to come from Eva So Charming and he is selected in preference to Croc An Oir, Undeniable and Blazing Hills. The last named is holding his form well and would surely be a more popular choice if he hailed from a more fashionable stable. He handed a below par Croc An Oir a sound beating in his last start and holds each-way claims on that run alone. The last mentioned had previously been a roll before that Stratford run and it may be a little soon to be giving up on him completely. However, Eva So Charming has really caught the eye with the way that he has progressed so far and, as he was deliberately steered away from a summer jumps campaign, he comes here with conditions expected to suit. The Knight team have been making bullish noises about the strength of their string for the current season and Eva So Charming can kick-start proceedings if he continues to show the same level of development this afternoon.
