Verdict

Not a strong race by any stretch of the imagination and this looks a good opportunity for Jasmin Guichois to atone for a costly defeat at Newbury last weekend. The Venetia Williams-trained gelding was still very much in contention when falling at the last and, if none the worse for the experience, should take advantage of a significant drop in grade. Panmure weakened badly when running too freely in the first-time at Hereford last month but this lightly raced individual looks capable of better and has to be respected. Atticus Finch ran no sort of race last time but is on a fair mark judged on previous efforts and looks best of the rest.
