A large field goes to post for this novices hurdle but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Spirit of New York, The Big Canadian and Iron Maid with the narrow vote given to Spirit Of New York. The selection won well last time out when beating Raslan. Granted he has a double penalty but he again he has conditions to suit and we will side with him until he is beaten. The Big Canadian rates the main danger on his latest third behind My Imortal but he looked very one-paced on that occasion and the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect with more cut in the ground. Iron Maid is another worthy of respect on her latest second behind Xila Fontenailles but she has yet to prove she stays this far and is taken on with this in mind. Of the remainder, Jaunty Flight has conditions to suit and could go well at a price in receipt of the weight for age allowance but for the winner we are happy to return to the progressive Spirit Of New York.
