In depth

Verdict

Mr Jay Dee and Cocacobana are the most interesting newcomers but WAY BACK WHEN wasn't disgraced on debut at Taunton and may be able to build on that promise. Mr Jay Dee represents a yard that's renowned for their success in this sphere so any support would look significant whilst Rebecca Curtis is two from two with her bumper runners here and Cocacobana is from a good jumping family. Inga Bird showed some promise at Ludlow but, the winner aside, the form may not amount to a great deal whilst Padre Eterno and Pensnett Bay also look to have something to find with the selection. Way Back When was weak in the market ahead of her debut but this half-sister to the talented Roulez Cool made some decent late progress from off the pace to shape with promise. She will need to step up on that level of form if she's to take this contest but she certainly looks the part on paper as her dam is a half-sister to the smart Bilboa and it's to be hoped that Way Back When can make the necessary progress.
