As so many of his rivals are out of form, Jungleland gets our vote ahead of the consistent Sparkling Taff and Notanotherdonkey. The selection stepped up on his previous efforts to justify heavy support in a Chepstow handicap in decent style. He has half a mile further to travel this afternoon, is 13lbs higher and is in a more competitive race so he has a good deal to prove. Dere Lyn was thirteen lengths back in second that day but it would be a surprise to see him reverse the form and Sparkling Taff should pose a bigger threat. He ran well over an inadequate trip at Huntingdon last time and, with his yard going well, should be in the mix. Notanotherdonkey should win more races from his current mark and has also proved consistent but it's hard to be confident about his chances as his yard are finding winners hard to come by. The likes of Firth Of Forth, Clemax and Go For One would have claims on their best form but all failed to complete last time so we'll stick with the progressive youngster, Jungleland.
