SOMATIC gained his first success over timber at Limerick last week and though 10lb higher looks the type to go on to better things. He can complete a quick double though Clarach doesn't look on a bad mark after a comfortable victory at Killarney and can pose a threat. Resolute Bay has improved on fast ground recently though he was probably lucky to score at Downpatrick when subsequent winner Eirland fell. He's still not too badly treated however and can go close while Jacks Island reverts to hurdles on a 6lb lower mark than when scoring over fences at Clonmel and any further rain will greatly aid his cause.
