Palmones is back on the same mark as when winning this 12 months ago but hasn’t raced since August. Winner of this race in 2015 under 10st, RULER OF FRANCE (NAP) made a cracking reappearance after another lengthy absence when second at Leopardstown. He doesn’t stand much racing nowadays but excels around here and this has probably been his target for a while. Military Hill has only won once in 30 career starts but he’s been in excellent form at Gowran lately and will be hard to keep out of the frame. Lady Nathaniel is still a maiden but she has hit the crossbar on three occasions, though was still beaten seven lengths last time at Hamilton when favourite. Fashaar looks best of the rest ahead of former Mark Johnston inmate Sennockian Star.
