Up Sluggarh gained his first victory at Wexford but went up 10lb and unseated his rider at Limerick last weekend. The veteran Fosters Cross won here in August and over hurdles at Thurles in December and has generally been competing at a higher level. Rocky Wednesday has been competing in novice company but hasn't made the expected progress since scoring at Down Royal in February but if the going dries out then Coldstonesober would have to considered as he completed a double in quicker conditions in September. It's All An Act is another who would enjoy faster ground as he won twice over timber in October. He's only run twice over fences but should make progress and is one to keep an eye on. AKINSPIRIT, six times a winner on the Flat and twice over hurdles, has shown enough over fences to suggest he could be well handicapped and a decent run at Dundalk ten days ago will have put him right for this.
