Old Town Road looked a certain future winner when runner-up on his handicap debut at Thurles in October but has only had two subsequent starts, the latest on the Flat ten days ago. Romella hasn't had much experience so it was a good run to finish a close third at Thurles in March while ILIKEHIM had excuses for a moderate effort here last time. He'd run very well on the Flat in his two previous starts so gets the nod over Blackyellowred, who chased home Friary Gold at Killarney with the remainder well beaten.
