In depth

Verdict

Mengli Khan, a Grade 1 winner over hurdles, has never fulfilled his potential over fences and was behind Livelovelaugh when the latter was placed over the bigger obstacles at Galway. Willie Mullins' charge is another who hasn't done as well as expected while Scoir Mear is 1-21 over fences though was in good form before the break in March. THOSEDAYSAREGONE has only run once over fences, beating the useful Mall Dini easily at Limerick in March last year. He landed the Ladbroke Hurdle at Leopardstown in February before a fine run at Cheltenham and has been going well on the Flat. Stormey is 0-14 over fences and though running well at Galway didn't back it up at Killarney.
