Four-year-olds don't have a very good record in this but Edward O'Grady's French import ALL SOULS, a winner at Navan before a very good run over 2m4f at Limerick, looks good enough to overcome that statistic. Fellow youngster Officer Sydney won a couple of minor races before finding Group 2 company much too tough and he'll be more at home here. Aranhill Chief has been in quite good form over fences though was well beaten the last time he tackled hurdles while after an impressive maiden success at Clonmel in February, Fire In Soul was beaten a long way when stepped up to Grade 2 company at Fairyhouse. My Direction was chasing when last seen in the autumn, as was Gambling Girl, who would prefer quicker ground.
