In depth

Verdict

Not the strongest of events and this should go to Southern raider Greenslades, who had several decent performers behind when finishing second at Newmarket back in April. He hasn't been seen since then, but surely connections would not have brought him all this way if he wasn't fit enough to do himself justice. Best of the Northern runners could be the filly Penny Ha'Penny, who has a couple of decent efforts to her name and may still be capable of a little improvement. Knight Crossing has a little abilty and while he would have more chance in a seller, he may be good enough for the minor honours.
