In depth

Verdict

CHATEAU CHINON is a half-brother to a very useful winning hurdler in France and out of a mare who won one of these in France so he's handed the vote to make a successful debut. Nicky Richards had four entered at the early stage and relies on Progress Drive, who started favourite on his debut here early last month and finished third though his rider weighed in 2lb light and he was disqualified. Grays Choice has shown potential in two starts at Musselburgh and finished just in front of Multipede in the latter of those events.
