In depth

Verdict

WESTLAND ROW, three times a winner over hurdles, might have gained his first victory over fences at Navan last month but for falling two out. He's receiving weight from the three recent winners and looks the one to be on. Dandy Dan completed a double on good going in October, the latest in a very tough Kelso handicap, and a four-month break shouldn't be a problem for one from an in-form yard. Rio Quinto made a spectacular start to his chasing career, making all for an impressive victory at Lingfield. He faces tougher opposition here but should have them all at full stretch. Three-times hurdles winner Grand Morning has pulled up in both starts over fences and was due to run in the 3.45 at Carlisle yesterday.
