In depth

Verdict

Wadi Al Salaam’s sole victory to date came over 7f and he possibly found 6f too short when second last time at Doncaster. Erich Bloch has also been racing over further since joining Roger Fell but Mr Wagyu has already won twice over course and distance this year and Chookie Dunedin caught the eye here at the start of the month. NORMANDY BARRIERE (NAP) is on a long losing run but this is another drop in grade for Nigel Tinkler’s eight-year-old and the booking of the champion suggests he’s fancied to go close today.
