Nymphadora did win in this grade as a two-year-old. She had a light campaign last year but got her head back in front in a decent handicap at Chester last month and shouldn’t be far away here if building on that. Great things were expected of ROYAL ACLAIM after wins at Bath and York last summer but a further step up didn’t really materialise and she got taken off her feet in the Temple Stakes at Haydock on her reappearance. However, she is sailing in calmer waters today. Treasure Trove was a tough two-year-old who showed she had trained on when third at Cork. She is preferred to Marine Wave of the three-year-olds, though it’s very interesting that Charlie Johnston pitches Loch Carron into a race like this after winning a maiden here on just her second start.
