It was soft ground when Cold Stare won over 7f at Haydock and stablemate Al Qahwa will also handle the going. Mick Easterby has decent claims with both Haydock runner-up Rapid Applause and the in-form Quick Look while Tim Easterby runs Confessional, who finished in front of Private Matter when scoring at Chester last week. The latter is one of four Richard Fahey runners with Paul Hanagan preferring Gabrial The Saint while Dakota Gold and stablemate Holmeswood could both go well for Michael Dods. A winner at Ascot, Green Power came up short back at the same track when taking on older horses but fellow three-year-old SNAZZY JAZZY is back on testing ground for the first time since winning a valuable sales race at the Curragh last year and Clive Cox’ colt is taken to bounce back in this.
