In depth

Formwatch

Celebration Town (IRE) Consistent of late and capable of winning a race of this type; trainer in good form and excellent chance at weights.

Turku Frustrating sort but runs up to his best over this trip; stable must be feared here and good run expected.

Peartree House (IRE) York specialist but has run well here in the past; suited by most surfaces and trip will suit; trainer on fire.

Kelburne (USA) Has run well over a variety of distances and has the ability to win this but handicapper has done him few favours.

Whale Beach (USA) Hard to weigh up; seems better suited by 7f but is not without a shout in this sort of affair.

Champion Lodge (IRE) Lightly-raced and not seen at his best this term; market support would be significant although trainer is out of form.

Great News Suited by 6f-8f and any surface; disappointed last time out at York but has excellent course form and is in with a decent shout.

Everest (IRE) Has a mountain to climb on bare form but has improved with each run this season and not without a chance.

Lady Bear (IRE) Has a chance on his latest runs but is suited by this trip; one to consider in this tough looking event.

Donna's Double Tried at a variety of trips for in-form underrated trainer and seems better suited by further rather than shorter.

Marnor (USA) Strange choices by the trainer has seen this horse run this season twice over 6f, three times over 5f and once over ten furlongs; always seems to run well and jockey booking is very positive.

Kingsdon (IRE) Has not recaptured the form he showed for Richard Hannon for his current trainer but if reproducing Thirsk run of two starts ago will go close.

Supreme Salutation Won well at Epsom last time out but this hard puller got the run of the race and this will be much more difficult.

Kestral Ultra-consistent sort who is up to winning this type of event; looks the type who will be suited by this track and good lightweight booked.

It's Our Secret (IRE) Suited by this trip and will appreciate this stiff track; well weighted and has scored here over course and distance this season; live chance.

Mytton's Again Not been at his best of late but trainer coming back to form and is shrewd enough to land this prize; suited by fast ground.
