    Verdict

This isn't as competitive as it first looked and Jballingall looks to have very strong claims, Loscar and Inch High appear to be the main rivals. The selection finally came good over fences last time out, comfortably beating Ryminster over a much longer trip at Sedgefield. The drop in trip is a slight concern but off this mark against very weak opponents he should go in again. Loscar's recent third at Carlisle looks fair enough form in the context of this event and he could be capable of making the frame. Inch High is one that will relish the ground conditions and he can go well despite top-weight. Teviot Brig has shown little but is from a yard in good form and should be watched closely in the betting, but in a very weak affair Jballingall is the choice.
