Verdict

Cheek-pieces are tried for the first time on Chamacco and Benbeoch in the hope of eliciting some improvement but a safer bet looks to lie between Panama At Once and NELLIEDONETHAT and the latter is just preferred. Trisons Star is another name to add to the shortlist but Ferdy Murphy's gelding is not one to trust. His latest fall at Newcastle came when he was the well-supported favourite however whilst he is undeniably well-handicapped, he isn't one to trust implicitly. The selection, Nelliedonethat, is the most solid in the line-up and he comes here chasing a hat-trick. He should have no problem with the step back up in trip as he stays well, especially in testing ground, and he looks capable of handling his 9lb rise in the weights. Something Silver is consistent enough but he falters late on over this trip and was a well-held third last time, whilst top-weight for the teenager Incas as he returns from an absence may put him up against it. Panama At Once has been taking his racing well, and he may be happier back over this trip today. The booking of Denis O'Regan catches the eye and he is top of the list of dangers. At a price Almire Du Lia could go well off a nice racing weight at a track he likes, but the vote of confidence goes to Nelliedonethat.
