In depth

Verdict

A hugely-competitive handicap in which the majority have some sort of chance. Haydock winner Innisfree Lad will need a strong pace as he stays further but he should figure again. The Butcher Said has struggled in handicaps so far but gives the impression he should be capable of better with the ground drying out while Five Star Getaway is on a four-timer but has gone up another 15lb and is upped in distance. The fast-improving ONE MORE FLEURIE is penalised for a recent success at Warwick but both trip and going suit Ian Williams' charge and another bold bid is expected despite the rise in class. Sirwilliamwallace is unexposed but would have preferred more give in the ground with a similar comment applying to Irish raider Pilbara. Marown didn’t have his stamina tested at Wetherby but does boast a decent record here.
