        Verdict

        Luis Vaz De Torres found little at Epsom when bidding for a hat-trick while Zylan found one too good off today’s mark at Haydock having won at Beverley earlier. But MAGICAL EFFECT has been threatening a return to winning ways with recent placed efforts and it could be his turn today having finished in front of Viscount Loftus when runner-up at Beverley last time. Tommy G won here last month and was placed off today’s mark on his latest start but something went amiss with Dark Profit at Musselburgh in October and he has his first start since.
