In depth

Verdict

Leostar can’t get much lower in the weights but Tomorrow's Angel seems to have lost the plot. Catterick runner-up Lady Bowes has to go on the shortlist but Colonel Manderson is having a first run for a new yard. Hoganville rattled up a hat-trick in the autumn but couldn’t cope with a further rise in the weights when only third at Wetherby last month. JET LEGS (NAP) looks ready to open his account after making favourite The Imposter battle hard for victory on his first try over 3m at Wetherby last time. He is getting 11lb from Apple Away, narrowly beaten at Haydock on his handicap debut but raised a further 2lb since.
