Verdict

It was no surprise to see SHADES OF MIDNIGHT take a hike in the weights after dotting up at Kelso last time. But he still gets the vote as Yes Tom was raised 17lb for his earlier win over track and trip and returned a disappointing favourite last time. There are similar concerns surrounding previous winner Lord Wishes, pulled up at Newcastle last month, but Western Rules has been thereabouts in novice company of late and Sa Suffit won on this card last year and makes most appeal of the remainder now back on a winning mark.
