In depth

Verdict

Most of these are out of form though the exception is SACRE TOI. James Ewart's charge has already won at Newcastle and Kelso this season and though beaten at Doncaster last week when favourite that looked a better race than this and compensation awaits. Sergeant Pink beat three rivals over this track and trip last month but couldn't handle a 4lb rise at Kelso ten days later and was pulled up. Gavroche Gaugain won twice at Sedgefield in 2011 and is back on the same mark as when last successful though he's been running poorly and may prefer better ground. Bene Lad is better over further and has been running over hurdles though he was in touch when unseating his rider from today's mark here in November.
