In depth

Verdict

Heez a Steal and Gallant Girl have both shown ability and should be involved in the finish here, but we will take a chance with the debutante Berwick Law. Len Lungo does well with his horses in this type of contest and Berwick Law looks bred for the job. He is by Snurge out of half sister to the smart Hollow Hand. The market will be the ultimate guide, but he looks the best option in a modest looking race. Heez A Steel showed plenty of promise when second to Tot O'Whiskey at Hexham last month and he should be capable of plenty of improvement. Gallant Girl belied odds of 50/1 to finish a decent fourth in a strong looking race at Wetherby on her first start and can also progress. As we say the betting will be all important here but we will give the vote to Berwick Law.
