Gansey hasn't won for three years but hasn't dropped in the weights as he's been competing at a higher level and produced a fine effort when a close fourth in the Grand Sefton at Aintree in December. He followed that with a narrow defeat by Kilcrea Ash in a veteran's event at Haydock and should be in the frame from the same mark. Railway Dillon had dropped to a lowly mark when scoring at Bangor but blotted his copybook with a poor subsequent effort at Newbury. BARNEYS HONOUR has had plenty of success in Ireland and though not at his best recently he's been ridden by an amateur and the champion's presence on board could give him the edge. Mister First has some reasonably for in Ireland though he looks a few pounds high but And The Man and Wicklow Lad fought out a finish here early last month and should be involved again with the former expected to take his revenge as he definitely improved on his subsequent start.
