Dark Defender has been in better form of late and was placed over track and trip under today’s apprentice last time. Tatlisu won a claimer at Ripon recently but was runner-up to MUSCIKA over track and trip before that. The latter is upped 5lb but there should be more to come from David O’Meara’s progressive three-year-old. Merdon Castle could go well only 3lb higher than when winning at Carlisle earlier while Duke Cosimo finished a close-up fifth at Doncaster last time and Holmeswood drops down in class.
