Shannon's Pride is a highly regarded type and looked a bright prospect after a convincing victory here last month on testing ground. The Nicky Richards-trained gelding is expected to make up in to a chaser in time but should be able to win again over timber before tackling the larger obstacles so is handed the TEAMtalk vote to overcome a 7lb penalty. Tulach Ard has shown a consistent level of form in novice events but remains a maiden and has a little to find with the selection while Island Faith didn't appear to last home over this trip in similar conditions at Newcastle last month. Hunter's Creek made little impact on his chase return last month but may do better over timber and is entitled to improve for the outing and Rodber shapes as though he will appreciate this step up in trip so could reach a place on his hurdling debut.
