In depth

Verdict

The application of cheekpieces has worked the oracle for TRICORN. He bids for a hat-trick raised 6lb but returned a convincing three-length winner at Hamilton last time and should go close again. Connections will hoping first-time cheekpieces have a similar effect on Zeimaam while Ayr Poet was narrowly beaten over a shorter trip here last month. Breguet Boy is back on a winning mark if back to his best but Chief Craftsman’s earlier win came over 1m4f.
