Verdict

Thosewerethedays was comfortably the best of these under rules, rated 133 at best, and despite a lengthy absence is expected to win this weak looking hunter chase. A triple winner in point-to-points, his second of two wins under rules for Ferdy Murphy last season came at the expense of the useful Europa at Kempton and if he could get within 20lbs of that form it would easily be good enough to win this. The chief danger should be Charlieadams, rated 27lbs lower than the selection but in fair form last Autumn and a safe jumper. The other three were all well beaten in points recently and make little appeal.
