OLEOLAT is chanced at the likely odds with Nelson Du Ronceray and Solway Sunset others to make our shortlist. Far from disgraced in his most recent appearance at the track, there was a little each-way interest beforehand and having demonstrated form over further, there is less likelihood of stamina concerns coming into play. Nelson Du Ronceray sets a fair standard. The handicapper has been a little cheeky in stepping him up 3lb for a recent placing but he is still potentially very well treated on earlier form. Solway Sunset is another for whom longer distances have ordinarily been the norm. He goes well for his claiming pilot. James Ewart's stable have been in good form so don't discount Open de L'Isle even with his moderate form figures this term. Stainley is first time visor in an attempt to rediscover his latent talent. Oleolat is selected in a race that makes limited betting appeal.
