        Verdict

        Ruth Carr has done a superb job with Lexington Place, who has completed a hat-trick on quick ground, the latest on this track where he just did enough. He's only 2lb higher and should get into the frame again. Rothesay Chancer was just behind him in fourth here last month but is only 1lb better off and may have to settle for a place again. Pearl Blue won two claimers over an extra furlong in the spring but seems best over that trip and My Name Is Rio is 8lb higher than his last winning mark, though he was in tremendous form at this time a year ago. With Rob Hornby's claim to help AMBITIOUS ICARUS, who enjoys some cut in the ground and didn't get the best of runs at Thirsk last time, is given the nod in a tight-looking handicap.
