Eight Is My Number was a very long way behind Blenheim Brook in a hurdle race at Perth last April but that was nowhere near his form as he started a very short-price. He ran quite well on his chasing debut at Down Royal in November but it's difficult to se him reversing the form with the winner, who has been going well over fences. However, he was beaten a couple of lengths by LIE FORRIT over a slightly shorter trip at Kelso in December and though the winner has been beaten subsequently he made a bad mistake when challenging and can gain compensation.
