Verdict
Having a first run for Julie Camacho, Mina Velour made a very promising reappearance at Haydock when finishing half-a-length ahead of the re-opposing Buccaneers Vault. Afandem came right back to form when second in a higher grade at Ripon and Tommy G is also eased in class after running at Goodwood last Saturday in a race in which he finished third last year. Newcastle winner Devil's Angel remains unexposed but John Kirkup is still 4lb higher than when successful here last year and the jury is currently out on another course and distance winner Tricky Dick. Never In Paris is probably best over 5f and this may be too tough for last month’s winner Jordan Electrics but DICK DATCHERY (NAP) has hit form again and can return to winning ways after an unlucky run last time at Doncaster when the going was probably quicker than ideal.
