In depth

Verdict

REAL MILAN was a very decent novice hurdler last term and made a confident start over fences when beating two rivals at Carlisle. The step up in trip won't be a problem and Donald McCain's charge will likely be a short price to win for a fifth time in seven career starts. Dark Glacier hasn't taken to fences so far but Papamoa won at Hexham in November, though was beaten a long way at Kelso under a penalty next time. Netminder and Nuts N Bolts may be open to some improvement but My Mate Vic is surely best watched racing for the first time since early 2009.
