Verdict

The champion jockey has hung around to partner WESTERN STARLET, who is a brother to two winning jumpers and a half-brother to three other winners. He rides the Westerner gelding in preference to Olly Murphy’s Champagnesuperover, who is a half-brother to winning hurdler/chaser Meldrum Lad but may need a bit further. Wetlands was only a one-paced fourth when favourite at Newcastle but should have learned from that experience and Offtheshoulder has already won between the flags. Miraculous Getaway is a rare runner under NH Rules for Richard Fahey but is jumps bred so is worth a market check.
