          Verdict

          Placed at Pau and Angers at the start of the year, GYPSY DE LA ROQUE was taking on better opposition at Compiegne when last seen and has solid claims in this. The lightly-raced Gentilhomme looked as though he was getting his act together over course and distance in February while Purple Light took a big step forward here in March having only won a claiming hurdle at Fontainebleau previously. Galloping Star has something to prove, however, having pulled up at Compiegne when last in action. Qui Fait Fortune has shown ability in a couple of starts and has a 9lb claimer on board so may prove the pick of the remainder.
