In depth

Formwatch

Border Light Unraced over hurdles and well beaten on chasing debut at Warwick, so little form to recommend him here.

Frenchman's Creek Runner-up three times in a row in handicap company and this looks an ideal opportunity to go one better.

Never In Debt Encouraging signs on chasing debut at Stratford, but more is required to win this.

Private Percival Looks fully exposed and decidedly moderate.

Sadler's Secret (IRE) Decent hurdler, but has not looked like a natural over fences in two starts so far, albeit in good company. Not one to put the mortgage on, but if he gets his jumping together he could easily win.

Sport Crest (IRE) Lightly raced but no sort of form over hurdles and finished a very remote third on chasing debut at Uttoxeter.

Welsh Lad (IRE) Twice a winner over hurdles this season, and plenty of encouragement when second on chasing debut. More required to win this, but he does at least seem to be going the right way.

Edwarda Fair hurdler but did not look too fluent when third on chasing debut at Market Rasen. Can improve on that, though, and not one to rule out entirely.
